Eligibility: Open to all majors; staff, faculty, alumni, and community members may join if space is available. Faculty permission required.
This cross-listed course blends eight weeks of on-campus study with two immersive weeks in England. Students explore British literature and performance through the lens of Shakespeare and children's literature, examining themes of social justice, cultural identity, and historical context. Highlights include site visits to the Globe Theatre, British Library, and museums in London, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Manchester. Students will collaborate with peers at UC London, engage in live performances and workshops, and produce creative and critical projects that connect literature to contemporary global issues.
